Elise Neal, Melanie Fiona, and Michelle Williams looking bold and bright!

As the post title suggests, a little color goes a long way and Elise Neal, Melanie Fiona, and Michelle Williams prove that as each of the ladies look absolutely stunning in these bold and bright hues. I don’t think people incorporate bold and bright colors in to their wardrobes enough. Whether you make a bold statement with bright skinny jeans, or if you want to add color in a more subtle way like with a necklace, either way your look will be taken up a notch.

Color blocking has been huge for the past few seasons. Although I don’t really consider it a trend, it is still going strong. Color blocking will be major in the fall as well so don’t be afraid to embrace it. It is known that wearing different colors will have an effect on your personality and mood. So to help brighten up your look and day I have selected a wide arrange of colorful items to incorporate in your wardrobe.

Last Tuesday my long time friend fellow blogger Kim of Makeup by Kim Porter hosted our very first blogging event. It was a great success! We had an amazing time with our readers, fellow bloggers, family, friends, and sponsors.

Our guests were able to enjoy a candy and popcorn buffet from Huey’s Chueys Candy Boutique, express manicures sponsored by Diosa Nails and Shic Beauty Salon, wine and cocktails sponsored by Zico Coconut Water, hors d’oeuvres by Chef Shani of Chef 71ATe and Taste Buds. Shopping was provided by Natty Boutique and Kim provided beauty makeovers while I provided styling advice on upcoming trends and dressing for your body type.

We also held two giveaways sponsored by Fly Credentials and Elleina D. Accessories

All guests went home with great gift bags as well!

Overall it was a great success and a great event. I would like to thank everyone who came out to support and all of those who made this event possible. Special thanks to Melissa of O So Chic, Rob, Camilla, David, Ian, Lloyd, Chanell, Mia, and Krystyna for their help with making sure the event ran smoothly. We really appreciate it! Check out some photos from the event.

Happy Monday my loves!

I know I have been MIA for a little, but I am back. I took a little vacation after my event last week, but Camilla did a great job holding down the fort! So let’s get right to business and see who rocked this weekend’s style files!

  • Taraji P. Henson looked youthful and fresh faced in this simple white dress.
  • Garcelle Beauvais rocked a black trench dress and added a little spice with a turquoise clutch and zebra print shoes
  • Jada Pinkett Smith looked like a super momma in this fiery tribal print dress
  • Lala kept it classy in a blue and white printed dress and black ankle strap shoes

  • Aisha Tyler’s metallic mini paired with a white blouse screams rocker chic. The mini adds a little edge to the outfit.
  • Tamia has been on her A game lately. She paired a see through animal print blouse with a bold lemon/lime skirt. It seems like Nene took a few notes on Tamia’s look with a reverse ensemble
  • Letoya Luckett’s cute casual look rounds out this weekend’s top looks. You can never go wrong with skinny jeans, white blouse, and a pair of hot pumps.

Who rocked it this weekend? My vote is for Jada Pinkett Smith. That dress is fire!

Eve was spotted earlier in the week at the African American Museum for The Uniquely You Summit in Philadelphia.

Eve wore an African print inspired jumpsuit paired with brown, cut out, peep-toe boots .

I love Eve’s hair and makeup (no one can deny she is a gorgeous woman!) however, I am on the fence about her outfit choice.  I actually like the jumpsuit just not so sure about it paired with those booties.

What do you ladies think about Eve’s look?
