Rihanna has landed yet another cover and this time it is Glamour Magazine. In this issue she talks about her personal style (which we love), drama, and loving a dominating man. Check out a few excerpts and photos from the interview.

On Drama
“I hate drama. But at the same time, nothing bothers me more than when life’s perfect. And that’s the sick part. I just love a challenge, whether it’s a relationship, my career, clothing…”

On her personal style

“Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, “What the hell is she wearing?”

On Dominant Men
“I play a very dominant role in my life, in every aspect of it. And I like to feel like a lady still, at some point. I feel like that’s the time when a guy really gets to be a man, and I get to be a woman. And if I’m being a man in the bedroom too, there’s nothing really in it for me.”

I love her hair in this shoot! The red is “LOUD” but she makes it look very glamorous!

About QVC Super Saturday

Haute in the Hamptons! QVC is, once again, teaming up with Ovarian
Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) to broadcast QVC Presents Super Saturday
Live from the Hamptons. This special two-hour “designer charity sale,”
which is scheduled to air Saturday, July 30 at 2 PM (ET), will feature
premier fashion, beauty, jewelry, accessories and home pieces at HALF
the manufacturer’s suggested retail price* with net proceeds
benefitting OCRF.

Select brands scheduled to be featured include Laura Geller, Peter
Thomas Roth, L’Oréal Paris, philosophy, Judith Ripka, Amrita Singh,
Honora and B. Makowsky. Additionally, contemporary sportswear line
TART Collections is scheduled to unveil its versatile yet stylish
Infinity Dress in a brand-new teal color, especially designed to
support ovarian cancer research and education.

The prestigious Super Saturday sale now reaches QVC’s 98 million U.S.
homes, allowing shoppers throughout the country to purchase designer
brands at a fraction of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price
while supporting OCRF. Currently in its 14th year, Super Saturday will
broadcast live for the fifth consecutive year”

Last week I attended the preview for the event to come on Saturday and if you follow me on Twitter you saw the products I tweeted and how I gave the model a “disguise.” The concept behind the “style and disguise” promo stems from Ovarian cancer disguising itself as a less serious illness. This is why it is important to visit your doctors yearly.

The model is actually wearing the Tarte Infinity Dress. It can be styled in so many ways hence the name “Infinity Dress.” This color was created especially for the Super Saturday Live event.

There is a new trend the world of nails and it is not crackle. I am personally over the crackle trend, especially since the nail salons try to charge you between $5-$7 for the application.

“The UK nail brand Nails Inc. is releasing a polish called Magnetic Attraction. The three metallic shades–gold, gray, and purple–contain iron powder and come with a magnet embedded in the cap. You apply a coat of the polish to each individual nail, then hold the magnet over your nail to get a rippled effect. These polishes will be available in October. Nails Inc. has been expanding its market in the US, so hopefully we’ll see it stateside.”Allure is having a giveaway and you have a chance to win the polish by clicking here.

According to Fashionista.com a professional brand of nail lacquer LCN, has magnetic polishes available now. They retail for $9.90 and come in eight shades. The magnets however are sold separately and cost about $20. Unlike Nails Inc. these magnets allow you to make shapes on the nail like stars and diagonals. Click here to purchase

I like the magnetic polish. It is more subtle than the crackle, but just as edgy.

Will you be trying this trend?

“So I’m going to 2 weddings this summer and I don’t know where to start for finding a cute dress + accessories that’s within my tight budget.  Since it’s for weddings I also want something that’s church appropriate but won’t leave me restricted when I hit the dance floor later that night”

Dressing for a summer wedding, well pretty much any wedding, depends on the time of day and location of the wedding and also whatever is on the invitation. Of course you want to do three things

  1. Stay cool
  2. Be comfortable
  3. Avoid wearing white (unwritten rule)

Here are a few tips for dressing for a wedding

  • Avoid wearing white because most likely the bride will be in white and you do not want to try to upstage her
  • Look for a dress in a light weight material. Since the wedding is in the summe you do not want to wear anything that will cling to your body and cause to sweat excessively
  • Make a statement with your accessories. Go for large cocktail rings, bold and bright shoes, or even shoes with a little sparkle. A great evening clutch in an intricate design will surely turn heads and go for those gorgeous hoops you have been dying to wear.
  • Wrap dresses are perfect for just about every body type because of how it cinches the waist.
  • Try a trend like color blocking.
  • If it is a summer wedding but in the evening go for a cocktail dress or a long maxi. This is your time to pull out all of the stops because more than likely it is a semi-black tie affair.
  • If it is a summer wedding during the day on a beach, in a garden etc. a flirty summer dress is a great choice. Go for something off the shoulder or with ruffles
  • Make sure you wear shoes that you can party in. One thing I hate seeing is a woman in a gorgeous dress on the dance floor barefoot or in socks. Wear shoes with comfortable insoles that will allow you to get your party on all night, or bring a pair of foldable ballet flats…not slippers.
  • Carry a light cardigan or pashmina scarf just in case it is chilly.
  • Keep your makeup light. Try a tinted moisturizer and bronzer to achieve a summer glow. You can go all out with a bold lip.

Great places to find accessories on a tight budget are

  • Forever 21
  • H&M
  • Target

I hope these tips help!
