Ok I believe this is my first set that I have created for a guy. My forte is dressing women, but I am giving the guys a little attention. I have been getting requests from a lot of my male friends to do more for them on the blog. I played it safe with this look but let me find my groove fellas. 🙂
So the inspiration behind this look was really the Sebago Spinnaker Boat Shoe which retails for $80. Boat shoes are essential for men for the summer. What are you going to wear on your feet if you get invited to a yacht party…some Jordan’s?…I don’t think so. There is always a time and a place for the Cool Grey’s or Tru Blues, but I think a boat shoe on a yacht is more fitting.
Boat shoes can be dressed up or dressed down. The look above is very casual. You have a plain v-neck t-shirt, casual trousers, a nice watch, belt, and rosary beads. The boat shoes and aviators pull it all together for a great casual yet stylish look.
i can dig it. cool, laid back look. i think my hubby has that same necklace. wasn’t a fan of him rocking the rosary beads but ok … 🙂
I’m not big on rasry beads either but the guys seem to love them.
I love this look! I’m so happy that men are getting some hot items for summer. The boat shoe is one of my favorite trendy items for them. I would love to see them paired with a summer blazer with the sleeves rolled up. A V-neck tee and relaxed fit cotton slacks would round out the fit. What do you think?
That would definitely be a great look. I think blazers always give such a polished look so that look would compliment almost every guy.
