This was my accessory board before Tuesday evening. It was very lackluster and uninspiring. I would gravitate toward the same pieces over and over. Things that I once loved did not do it for me anymore. I was bored and noticed that I lacked color. (It feels like I’m talking about a relationship here lol). Anyway, on Tuesday I went to my favorite accessories place and picked up a few pieces that would give me a pick me up for the spring and summer.
This was my board before
This is my board now
It is amazing how a little color goes a long way.
Check out the pieces that I added to more board when you continue
Can you believe I only paid $50 for all of these pieces? I was surprised and excited when they told me my total.
I love these earrings because of their size. They are huge but they are light weight which is exactly what I was looking for. Heavy earrings stretch your ear lobes and these feel as light as a stud.
Turquoise is always in season for the spring/summer. It adds just the right amount of color.
Pink is my favorite color but you would never know considering I don’t own any pink jewelry besides a pink pearl bracelet my brother bought me years ago when he studied abroad.
I don’t know why I bought two orange necklaces lol I guess one will be for the shop and swap next week.
These are my three favorite pieces. I wanted a wooden necklace for my safari looks and I fell in love with the orange necklace as soon as I looked at it. The teal necklace also came in purple and pink but I felt this color was more bold. I may go back for the purple and pink.
I love the fact I purchased mainly sets too. Its hard finding earrings to compliment certain necklaces and now I don’t have that problem.
Now my next step is reorganizing my board or purchasing an additional one. I find that cork boards are perfect for organizing your accessories. You get a clear picture of all of the items that you have so when you go shopping you know exactly what you need. The boards are relatively inexpensive (depending on sized) they can cost anywhere from $1 to $20 and you can purchase push-pins at the dollar store.

Hi Janique.. great post. Like some of the pieces. That was a great haul especailly for that price. Ive noticed, even wholesale the prices of jewelry have gone up. Ive also been using the cork board with the push pins for years. My mother saw my board a couple weeks ago and thought it was a great idea!!
Thanks Kinda! Everything has gone up. It’s crazy.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the orange one from your 3 favorites. That one is my favorite! I recently went shopping for new chunky necklaces. I got 2 from H&M and I think 3 from Forever 21. I got a few longs ones too. I went crazy but I used to be really into earrings which I still am, but I am also loving the new chunky necklace trend. Fabulous stuff!
I love chunky necklaces also. I rarely purchase them, but that will be my new thing for now lol.
Hi Janique,
I love your accessories!!! Where do you get them from. Im looking to upgrade my collection also. 🙂
Hey Thanks! I get my accessories from all over the place. Forever 21, H&M, Street Vendors, etc.
Those are some really nice peices you bought.
Thanks!
