Ingredients
- 1 part Malibu Coconut Rum
- 3 parts pineapple juice
Method: Pour ingredients over ice in an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, and serve.
Monday was the opening night for August Wilson’s “Fences” on Broadway at the Cort Theatre starring Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. “Fences” is probably one of my favorite plays and I absolutely love teaching this play. Many critics felt August Wilson’s plays were “simple,” but they were not used to someone writing about the struggles of African-Americans and so they did not understand. This play is definitely a classic. Set in the late 1950s many of you will be able to connect with the struggles and triumphs of the Maxson Family. Here are some photos from opening night.

It is hard to believe that I do not own ONE RUFFLED SKIRT! I have tons of skirts, but none with ruffles (shame on me). I will be making a trip to the mall soon to pick up a few 🙂 Here are some cute options that won’t break the bank.
