Hey everyone! I hope you had a fun-filled and restful weekend. I think this was my busiest weekend since my birthday. Three friends’ birthdays, my best friend came home, and my mom took me to see “In The Heights” on Broadway. If you get a chance go and see that play…it was excellent (post coming later on in the week). So you know what today is…Motivation Monday. Let us start our work week off the right way by being positive. Today’s focus is leadership.
learn more, do more and become more,
you are a leader.
John Quincy Adams
Leadership-noun-the ability to guide, direct, conduct, or inspire; to be ahead of
We are all leaders. We all have the ability to guide, direct and inspire others. When you are a leader you are not necessarily tellingthose you follow you what to do, you are simply showing them a better way. You show them through your actions. If you aer simply telling people what to do, and your actions do not reflect your words, you are pretty much a hypocrite. Instead of judging others and telling them what they are doing wrong, give advice and live your life right so they are able to have a new perspective. People learn many different ways (multiple intelligences). Some people learn based on hands-on activities, others like being lectured to, others are more visual, so think about your actions because people are watching you.
We all have the ability to inspire, and that should be one of our goals. What good is it to do something great if no one can benefit from it or if they are not inspired by it? We must realize that we are not only living for ourselves. We need to remove our selfish ways and become more selfless. Leaders are selfless because they do what they can to help improve the lives of others.
So today I say we be more conscious of our actions because someone admires us. Someone looks up to us. Someone is inspired by us. Let us start living better. If we can help improve only one life and help a person from heading down a path of destruction, then we have done our jobs. So this morning smile more, be assertive, be more polite, speak to people with respect, and do something kind for someone else. We are the head and not the tail. Let us not tell people what to do, but show them a better way.

Very interesting read this is one of my major interest. I will be following this blog closely. I see you put a lot of thought into what you write.
